The aim of this special interest group is to linked to the AEME objective:
-
To support, undertake and disseminate events research.

Research is vital to the development of our sector and our subject and there is a lot of fantastic research work happening that we want to support and engage with to optimise the impact in practice as well as in the classroom.
The Research SIG seeks to collaborate across AEME, across the sector and beyond to support and promote research activity through the following strands of activity:
-
Termly online research chats – invite to all and any researchers in events (or related fields) to share what they are looking at in an informal setting.
-
Critical Friends – a mentoring/match-making collaboration where researchers can get some friendly, supportive feedback.
-
Annual mapping exercise – who’s doing what out there, voluntary response – aim is to identify any communities of interest and any potential gaps
-
Research Support – additional sessions and events such as Writing Retreats and Online Symposia. We also encourage all researchers to submit abstracts for the annual AEME Forum

If you are interested in being involved in any or all of the above, please submit your expression of interest via this form.

We have now established our Researcher Network so please have a look to see what is currently being explored in our sector. If you would like to be added to the list, please add your details via this form.

Meetings information will be shared on the aeme@jiscmail.ac.uk list.
